Ok today it all starts!

After a nine year journey in photography I have found something that excites me, the sport of roller derby. As you will see this actually started photographing derby last year after a facebook post “I want to photograph roller derby….anyone out there know anyone?” I actually got a few responses from a few friends and as you can see I was hooked.

This was not my first experience with the sport, I used to wake up early in the morning on Saturday to watch replays of the T-Birds back in the late 70′s. Whats not to like after all? Girls on skates, great story not so much unlike wrestling and people flying everywhere. I guess that kid is still alive in me to this day.
